Quincy Music Theatre

TDC-QuincyMusicTheater

Quincy Music Theatre is North Florida’s premiere musical theater company, offering four must-see musicals each year at the historic Leaf Theater. Built in 1949, the Leaf Theater was originally a movie theater, famously inaugurated by Roy Rogers. Named for the influence of shade tobacco on the local economy, the theater was restored in 1983 by the Quincy Music Theatre group, thanks to preservation grants, local funds, and donations from families connected to the town’s original Coke stockholders. Today, the Leaf Theater hosts live musical performances, educational events, and the popular Children’s Summer Theatre Workshop. It’s also rumored to be haunted, with appearances in Alan Brown’s Haunted America series and Dave Lapham’s Ghost Hunting in Florida.
